Before you begin, it is important to understand that the Backup process consists of two aspects: database and storage.


  • The database contains information such as metadata of the materials, configuration of schedules, and logs about permissions and actions of users in the system.
  • The storage contains information such as audio, video and image files that are used in the system.

In his article you will learn how to make and restore a backup of the system DATABASE, using the “HARDATA DB RESCUE” tool.

To make the backup of the DATABASE follow the steps below.


1. First, you need to have the “Hardata DB Rescue” application on your PC, which you can get in the installation folder or download from this link.Open the application and select the “Create backup” option:

2. Select the product you want to backup (please note that backups are only made for products installed on your PC):

3. Next, select the location where you want to save the backup you made, and confirm the location on your PC.

4. Verify that the backup was created correctly.


Remember that the tool only backs up the DATABASE, but it allows you to locate the storage location to continue with this process simultaneously. For more information about Storage backup visit this link

To restore the previously made DATABASE backup, follow the steps below:

1. Open the application and select the "Restore backup" option.

2. Select the product you want to restore the backup from:

3. Click the "Browse" button to find the .bak files for the main database and the logs database:

4. Select the appropriate files and click "Restore". This will restore the database of the selected product.


*Please note that you must also backup and restore the appropriate storage to ensure that the system is complete.
